Description

The Antique Lori Kilim is a genuine vintage Persian flat weave rug, crafted by Lori tribal weavers in Iran around the 1950s. Measuring 2.5 by 1.8 metres, this handwoven kilim presents an all-over striped design enriched with repeating geometric patterns.

Its colour palette combines warm peach, salmon, and tan hues, accented by soft sky blue touches. The rug features natural variations in tone, known as "Abrash," which occur due to the use of different wool batches and organic dyes. These subtle shifts add depth and character to the overall appearance.

Made from quality wool dyed with natural pigments, this antique kilim is both eco-friendly and durable. It remains in excellent condition, offering a distinctive vintage charm suitable for various interiors. Whether placed in living rooms, studies, or bedrooms, it serves as a versatile accent piece that complements bohemian and traditional decor styles.

To maintain its quality, careful upkeep is advised. Using an underlay is recommended to prevent slipping, enhance stability, and protect the rug's fibres, thereby extending its lifespan. This also adds comfort underfoot, making it practical as well as beautiful.
