Description

Persian Village Runner - 3.5 x 1.2 m is a handwoven hallway runner originating from the Azerbaijan Province of Iran. Crafted with high-quality locally sourced wool, this vintage Persian runner features a distinctive tribal geometric pattern complemented by wide floral borders on a rich navy blue background.

The main field showcases a wine red base adorned with rustic orange, ocean green, and coral accents, creating a vibrant yet traditional colour palette. The runner is woven with a wool pile on a cotton foundation, ensuring durability and solidity suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways or kitchens.

One of the unique aspects of this piece is the natural colour variation known as “Abrash,” which results from the use of organic dyes and different wool batches, producing subtle stripes and tonal depth. This adds to the runner’s authentic vintage character.

Measuring 3.5 metres in length and 1.2 metres in width, this runner is thick and easy to maintain with proper care. It has been professionally cleaned and repaired where necessary, reflecting its sustainable and enduring quality. Minor signs of wear consistent with its age enhance its charm and authenticity.
