Description

Persian Rug Shahre Babak – 2.35 x 1.75 m is a genuine tribal handwoven rug from the Sirjan region of Persia, dating back to around 1960. Crafted with high-quality wool pile on a sturdy cotton foundation, this vintage piece showcases an intricate geometric all-over pattern complemented by distinct borders. The rug’s base features the natural colour of virgin wool, enhanced by contrasting borders and vibrant coloured motifs that add character and charm.

This thick and durable rug offers both aesthetic appeal and practical warmth, making it a standout floor covering for any room. The handwoven craftsmanship includes subtle colour variations known as “abrash,” a natural result of using different batches of organic dyes and wool, creating unique tonal stripes within the field.
