Made from pure wool on a wool foundation, the rug features a thick, soft pile that provides both durability and comfort underfoot. Vegetable dyes contribute to its warm terracotta background, accented by mustard, blue, and chocolate brown tones. The design includes a distinctive zigzag pattern and central diamond motifs, enhanced by natural colour variations known as “Abrash.” These subtle stripes result from different batches of wool, adding depth and character to the rug.
This Gabbeh is thicker than typical Persian rugs, with coarser knots that create a substantial texture ideal for adding warmth to living rooms, bedrooms, or study areas.
